A lucky lottery player from the UK won a EuroMillions windfall of £16.5 million on Tuesday nights draw.
The ticket holder who shares the £33 million jackpot with a player from France has yet to come forward and residents of the UK are being urged to check their tickets.
Andy Carter, a senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “It’s great news for one UK winner who has scooped a share of tonight’s £33 million EuroMillions jackpot-winning an amazing £16.5 million.
"Players are urged to check their tickets online to see if they are the latest big winner – The National Lottery results are always available on the website and via the National Lottery App.”
The eyewatering win came after both winners matched all the numbers drawn, 04, 09, 14, 21 and 27, and Lucky Star numbers 04 and 06.
The winner now has 180 days to check their tickets which means they have until November 22nd 2020 to come forward and claim the big prize.
In March, a £58 million EuroMillions lottery jackpot was also won by a UK ticket holder.
