A lucky ticket holder from Auckland is enjoying the perfect start to Easter after landing Powerball First's Division and Lotto First Division prize banking the staggering sum of $16,250,000.
The winner who has yet to reveal his or her identity purchased the winning ticket online, their lucky selection of numbers were 09, 18, 21, 27, 34, 35, Bonus 11 and Powerball 10.
This is the sixth time so far this year that the New Zealand Powerball lottery jackpot has been hit and there will be another chance for players to win big with the next draw taking place on Saturday.
Apart from the jackpot winner, three other Lotto players from Auckland, Napier and Porirua will also be celebrating over the long weekend after winning $250,000 with Lotto First Division.
On top of that Strike Four was hit by a player from Whangarei who will take home a very handy $500,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Pak N Save Whangārei.
